Tapetes recicláveis?
É possível.
Atualmente, em todo o mundo, a maioria absoluta
dos tapetes produzidos são compostos por fios
sintéticos e quase nenhum é reciclável. Isto porque
a maior parte das indústrias agrega materiais
como látex, juta e outros para buscar propriedades
na base do tapete, como rigidez, antiderrapagem,
ancoragem de pelos, etc. Este processo torna
praticamente impossível separar do material
reciclável, fazendo com que a destinação do tapete
usado seja algo totalmente prejudicial ao meio
ambiente, pois eles se tornam nada além de lixo
não degradável.
A Omicron Mônaco Tapetes é a primeira empresa
a utilizar apenas materiais sintéticos em toda a
base do tapete, a exemplo de algumas empresas
norte-americanas que desenvolverammateriais
específicos, na maior parte, em polietileno
e polivinílicos que podem oferecer todas as
propriedades de rigidez da base e são recicláveis
juntamente com a superfície.
A base sintética, que pode ser vista na foto,
exclusiva da Omicron Mônaco Tapetes, além
de oferecer este diferencial, ainda proporciona
isolamento acústico, isolamento térmico e possui
tratamento anti-microbial, além de ser a única
base de tapetes que não risca o piso e é totalmente
lavável sem restrição no uso de água abundante.
Nossos brindes de final de ano em 2011,
que também foram entregues a clientes na
13ª ABIMAD, são canetas e réguas feitas de
polímeros reciclados, exatamente dos mesmos
materiais usados nos tapetes da Omicron Mônaco.
Recyclable Rugs?
It’s possible.
Currently, around the world, the
absolute majority of rugs include
synthetic fiber compounds and hardly
any are recyclable. That is because most
factories add materials like latex, jute
and others to add important properties
like stiffness, a non-skid surface,
increased tuft anchorage etc. This
process makes it practically impossible
to separate out the recyclable
material, making used rugs completely
prejudicial to the environment, since
they become nothing more than non-
biodegradable trash.
Omicron Mônaco Tapetes is the first
company to use only synthetic materials
for the entire rug base, following the
example of several North American
companies that have developed specific
materials that for the most part are
based on polyethylene and polyvinyl
and are able provide all the necessary
rigidity to the base and are just as
recyclable as the rug surface.
