COMMUNICATION
Thinking about the current economic outlook, the advertising campaign, signed by Rafael Magno, Marketing coordinator of the Association for the 21st ABIMAD, is based on the theme “Innovation and transformation – REINVENT YOURSELF”. The advertisements are the evolution from rough wood to a piece of furniture, the communication of the fair was based on this theme, of being inventive, creative and innovative, turning something simple into an object of desire. Reinventing what already exists. “Transformation and innovation is our key word. Business executives need to know how to circumvent the different situations that arise in the middle of the way and we are optimistic for knowing that the way we deal with these adversities is what will make us victorious," says Paulo Mourão, vice president of the Association.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Visitors to this edition may rely on technology and comfort, such as points for charging mobile phones spread across the fair. Espresso coffee and quick massage are also offered free of charge, in addition to the traditional rounds of sparkling wine at the end of each day. “We will also have Bike Food and Food Truck, in addition to restaurants already known assembled inside the pavilion”, explains Patrícia Linhares, executive manager ABIMAD.
VIP guests
Around 800 retailers from all regions of Brazil participating in the 21st Abimad have their costs borne by the Association, such as air tickets, accommodation, meals and transportation during the two days of the event. “The purpose of this partnership is to strengthen the relationship with these clients and create opportunities for new retailers”, explains the finance director ABIMAD Paulo Allemand.
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
The fact that the dollar is highly valued against the real brings more competitiveness to the export of Brazilian products. “We believe that we will have more consistent visitation from importers to do business”, says Joelma Silva, from the international department of ABIMAD.
More than 40 importers will visit the 21st Abimad, coming from various Latin American countries, such as Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Uruguay. The coming of these retailers is also subsidized by the Association, through the ABIMAD Export program, which encourages exports between the associated participants.
SUSTAINABILITY
Regarding the responsible disposal of materials, Abimad, in partnership with HANDS – Environmental Waste Collection, carries out a selective collection of materials for recycling. These include plastic canvas (Bagum), carpet, wood, plastic, cardboard and metals generally used during assembly and disassembly. "This work results in the reduction on the number of dumpsters hired for the removal of waste", explains Maurizio Sarcinella, coordinator of the fair.
