Trade Show in São Paulo gathers biggest manufacturers of high-end furniture and decorative accessories.
Latin America's largest trade show in the high-end furniture and decorative accessories segment, the 16th edition of ABIMAD (Brazilian Contemporary Furniture and Home Decor Manufacturers Association Trade Show) will take place from July 30 to August 2, 2013, at Imigrantes Expo Center in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Organized by the Brazilian Contemporary Furniture and Home Decor Manufacturers Association (ABIMAD), the trade show displays furniture for indoor and outdoor environments, in addition to decorative objects that combine quality and design.
Occupying nearly 16,000 m2 of space with their stands, the 104 exhibitors present a range of products including furniture and decorative objects in a wide range of styles, serving the sector’s entire retail sales chain. “It’s the best time to replenish stocks, change showrooms and get ready for end of the year sales," stated ABIMAD president Michel Otte. The trade show is exclusively aimed at furniture and decorative object retailers and industry professionals, who will be able to see the main trends and the most sophisticated new developments in the home furnishings industry firsthand.
VIP GUESTS
As with every edition of the trade show, ABIMAD is bringing nearly 600 retailers from all across Brazil, who will have their expenses with plane tickets, lodging, food and transfers defrayed for the four day event, entirely paid by the association. “It's the only trade show in Latin America that subsidizes this participation by the country’s main retailers,” explained Michel Otte, president of ABIMAD.
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
ABIMAD will also be visited by nearly 30 importers from many Latin American countries like Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela, among others, all subsidized by the Association. This incentive towards exports is carried out by the ABIMAD Export program, with 22 member companies. “We promote Business Rounds, with meetings between importers and exhibitors right at their stand. In this way, business deals can be closed quickly and effectively for everyone involved," explained Erik Fiuza, from ABIMAD’s international department.
PANTONE PARTNERSHIP
A success during the previous edition, Pantone®, a global authority in color, will be back with their stand during the 16th edition of the ABIMAD trade show. Known as a standard language for talking about color, Pantone® will be demonstrating its products and solutions. “Exhibitors and visitors will be able to learn about our products, concepts and color trends,” stated Rafael Magno, ABIMAD marketing manager.
EXHIBITORS
With a product range including furniture and decorative objects, the 2013 edition features 104 exhibitors, occupying 16,000 m2 with their stands. “High-end furniture and decorative accessory manufacturers are investing more and more in Brazilian professionals. Visitors to the 2013 ABIMAD trade show will notice an ever increasing valorization of domestic products, increasingly desirable on the world scene," explained Michel Otte, president of ABIMAD.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Characteristic of every ABIMAD trade show, the mega-infrastructure set up by the association provides visitors and exhibitors with the greatest of comfort and practicality. They are offered, free of charge, Nespresso brand coffee, quick massages, Devassa brand beer, in addition to the now traditional rounds of sparkling wine at the end of the day. “We’ll also have temaki kiosks, cupcakes, ice cream, snacks, Italian food and a restaurant set up inside the pavilion,” explained Patrícia Linhares de Souza, executive manager of ABIMAD. HALL Magazine, published by the association, will also have its own stand, presenting its most recent edition to the sector’s professionals.
16th ABIMAD CAMPAIGN
A reference point in setting trends for the decoration sector, the theme for the 16th edition of the ABIMAD trade show is “Where Colors and Shapes Meet.” Starting with the idea that the trade show is a place where manufacturers, retailers and industry professionals meet, ABIMAD’s marketing department developed a campaign using images of a sofa, an armchair, a dresser and a vase. “The technique we used for creating the image was splash.” We captured the exact moment color touches the object, creating unique results," explained Rafael Magno, from ABIMAD's marketing department. Right at the main entrance, 16 totems with images of the products will be displayed. The campaign developed into pieces for internet, email marketing, social networks and print ads for the industry’s main magazines aimed at the high-end decoration market.
10 YEARS
Continuing celebration of ABIMAD’s 10th anniversary, on Monday, July 31 at 7 pm, the band Get Back (Santa Catarina) will perform classics from the rock ‘n’ roll repertoire. Before the show, guests will enjoy a cocktail party at the expo pavilion’s main square.
ABIMAD
Founded in 2003, the Brazilian Contemporary Furniture and Home Decor Manufacturers Association (ABIMAD) has 174 member companies from all across Brazil.
